Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

SEO stands for the term phrase of Search Engine Optimization. It is the art and science of achieving high page rank on Google, as well as other search engines. It begins with an understanding of the keywords and keyword phrases your audience might use when searching for information on a business or organization such as yours via a web search. Do not be confused with Pay-Per Click (PPC) advertisements, which often appear at the top of a search results page, genuine, or organic search engine results are what SEO is all about.

Here, are some steps of the SEO process:


 SEO is basically divided into two main areas On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO.

Firstly, about On-page SEO:

On-page Optimization creates the foundation for your SEO efforts and it is not difficult to understand. Everything you do on your web pages can put a positive or negative impact on your search engine result placements (also known as SERPs), where your website is ranked on Google for a given search phrase or term.

Meta Tags

Meta tags are labels or tags that you give to your web page. These are necessary for helping the search engines optimization seo know the name of your page, understand what information your pages contain, display a small description for search engine result listings, as well as understand ways to treat each page when indexed. However, different search engines weight the information in these tags differently. Therefore, make sure that your metatags are complete, accurate, and up to date. In addition, each of your website’s pages should have its own unique set of meta tags. There are four primary meta tags that are Title tag, Description tag, Keywords tag and Robots tag.     


Having your keyword in URL can help in some instances, but is virtually meaningless in the overall Google ranking algorithm unless many other sites are linking to yours. It helps with search engines optimization seo like MSN and Yahoo! and also when you are link building for Google. However, each search engine optimization has its own ranking algorithm, which places different weights on website criteria like URL, external links and more.

 Once a website links to your site using only your URL, if that URL is comprised of your keywords, it provides a boost to Google search results.
