SEO factors

There are two factors (On-page and Off-page optimization) to SEO that help you put your website at the top of the list.  In previous post, I have shown you some of the most important factors of On-page seo area.

Today, I would like to offer you some of crucial Off- page SEO factors:

Off-Page SEO

Off-page SEO is considered to be even more powerful than on-page optimization. It comes to increasing your website’s popularity or search engine results on Google. The popularity is identified by the number and types of sites that link to a given site or URL. Especially, with Off-page SEO, there are a handful of proven techniques you can start using to improve your SERPs on the world’s largest search engine.

Off-page optimization is the most important SEO strategy for those who seek for No1 placement on Google. Off-page SEO optimization is the practice of increasing a website’s popularity. To achieve this goal, you should develop quality links to your website. These links need to have an equivalent or higher Google PR than your site, include similar content to your page, use related meta-tags, and have a large number of quality sites linking to them.

However, how these quality sites link to you is the biggest secret to Google dominance.                                                                           off-page seo optimization

Link Types

Three types of links you need to know about:

  • One-way links:

Links from a website that is not yours. Third party websites place a link from one or more of their pages to your site. If they are quality links, one-way links are powerful because you are receiving a vote from an independent third party. Above all, Google values these one-way links.

  • Reciprocal or swapping links:

When you exchange links with another website, referred to as swapping links, you are providing a link to their website from yours in exchange for a link from theirs to yours. Reciprocal links are normally not as valuable as one way links.

  • Three-way links:

Three linking is when you partner with another site, and provide a link from your site to their site. In turn, they provide a link from another site they own to your site. It is ideal as it results in a one-way link from a third party website.

Inbound Linking

If you want your website to well-perform to search engine assessment, then you need to have worked out carefully linking strategy and a detailed analysis of incoming links to your website.

The number of inbound links coming into your site is important because it helps do several things: drive traffic to your site, drive search engine attention to your site, and elevate the importance of your site in both search engine and visitor’s eyes. Inbound links are part of both PageRank and TrustRank system.

Used by Google search engine, PageRank is a link analysis algorithm. The algorithm assigns a numerical weighting (also called PageRank) to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents such as World Wide Web, to measure its relative importance within the set. It may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references. You could go to Prchecker to check the PageRank of your site. Once every six months or so, the PageRank of a site updates on the Google database and the search engine takes into account elements such as inbound links, traffic and search term popularity amongst others. The PageRank is split into two formats, public one, which Google makes available to the world; and private one, which it uses in its search engine algorithm. Also, you can visit Submitexpress if you would like to know how many other pages in different search engine databases link to your site.

Outbound Linking

Outbound links from your website show that you have an active presence on the web which is organic and value-laden. Google sees outbound links as a positive thing, and they should be encouraged with a few provisos. Outbound links should be relevant to the content and theme of your site first. Then they should be used with a consistent strategy which aims at enriching your content’s depth and visitor experience. Lastly, they should never open on your website page so that by clicking on any link that the visitor is taken away from your site. Outbound links should always open in a new window. Keep in your mind that search engines optimization see long lists of links as being a bit spammy, so they might tend to weigh these links as less importance. A link inside a paragraph of text is typically given more weight, cause it looks like a more natural link.
