Summary:

To continue with the previous post, today, I would like to show you other must have factors of Off-page SEO: Blog and Press release.

Blogging

Build your own blog to provide a significant boost to your SEO efforts. Blogs have their own directories and methods of optimization. When your blog has a Google PR associated with it, you can provide targeted-links to your homepage and sublevel pages.

press release vs blog

These are Three Easy Steps for you to start your own:

- Firstly, choose a purpose or topic of the blog you want to write. Regardless of the purpose you choose is to create an online journal or generate revenue with Google AdSense (pay-per-click advertising), select a topic that provides you with the flexibility to contribute on a regular basis.
- Secondly, you should select a blog provider. The two largest and easiest free blog websites to use are Blogger and WordPress. Reliability and Functionality are the benefits of using established blogging hosts.
- The third step is launching your blog. With Blogger, all you need to do is create an account, name your blog, select your template, then post to your blog. With WordPress, after creating a username, entering your email address, creating your blog name and title, you can receive a confirmation email that provides instruction on how to begin.

You can learn about some basic techniques for generating traffic to your blog in my complete e-book.

Press Releases

Press release distribution works by distributing a press release, an announcement of news relates to your website that includes links back to your site. When you share actual news, the prospect of that information getting picked up by online news outlets and distributed to hundreds of websites can become a reality in a quick manner.
You should add a poll question to your blog to create news, if you are starting from scratch. Whereas, if you have your own list (opt-in emails), use a tool like SurveyMonkey to create a short survey and distribute it to your list.
You should target around 250 responses, but 100 should suffice for your first release. After completing the first survey and writing your first release, you can select an online press release distribution service.

There are literally hundred of press release distribution services. However, I recommend you to check out the list, including more than 50 press release distribution services, I have used:

Commenting Policy STOP & READ: Do not use just keywords in "Name" field; you MUST leave a real name, if you want to see your comment approved. Thinking of dropping your link spam? Save the effort: your comment will NEVER show up on this blog.
